Stop talking about what the good man is like, and just be one.
Marcus Aurelius
Reflection:
As much as stoics, like other philosophers, enjoyed playing games with words and creating intricate ways to prove their doubters wrong they understood at some point the rubber had to hit the road.
Marcus Aurelius puts it as plainly as possible here. Stop talking. Start doing.
At some point you have to begin acting in a positive manner. You can discuss the best way to go about something until the end of time. That is the easy part.
In the end taking action is almost always going to be better than simply waiting. Take action today on something you have been debating for a while. The majority of the time you won’t know what is truly right until you try anyways.
